Lose Stubborn Fat

How to Lose Stubborn Fat?

For some people, no matter how well you eat or often you exercise, it can be difficult to lose weight and specifically lose fat in certain parts of your body. If you’re dealing with stubborn fat, then it might be time to try something new.

Change Your Diet

The number one you can do to lose fat is to change your diet! We recommend thinking in terms of what you can add to your diet vs feeling like you have to cut certain foods out of your life.  Prioritize adding protein and vegetables to your diet, first and foremost! If you have an egg for breakfast, adding an extra egg white adds an extra 4 grams of protein for only 17 calories, which will keep you fuller longer! Double up your chicken and veggies on a salad or wrap at lunchtime and you’ll have less chance of an afternoon slump. Do your best to avoid processed carbs and foods with added sugar. Of course, you don’t need to completely cut these foods out of your life, but drastically reducing your intake can help. If you drink alcohol, this can also make it difficult to lose weight. Reducing or even cutting out alcohol can be beneficial.

Evaluate Your Lifestyle

Even if you’re making lots of healthy decisions with your diet and exercise, you may still be struggling to lose weight. At this point, you may need to evaluate your lifestyle and see if certain changes need to be made. In many cases, your ability to lose weight could be related to your stress levels. High levels of stress lead to an increased production of cortisol in your body. Cortisol makes you more hungry and it can lead to increased weight gain around your abdomen. One way to combat this is by finding ways to reduce the stress in your life. Obviously, it isn’t possible to reduce all stress, but it may be helpful to find more stress reducing practices to incorporate into your life. Similarly, it can be difficult to lose weight if your body isn’t getting enough sleep each night. Lack of sleep will also lead to an increase in cortisol and it can interfere with your body’s metabolism. Getting adequate sleep may help you in your weight loss.

Body Contouring

Another option for stubborn fat loss is a non-invasive treatment such as body contouring. With body contouring, the fat cells in your body are destroyed and then naturally flushed out of your body through your lymphatic system. At Femme Moderne, we use Physiq, which is FDA-cleared, safe, and effective body contouring. We treat up to 4 desired areas in the same treatment with paddles that gently warm the skin while directing powerful thermal energy to the fat cells below, leading to permanent destruction of the fat cells. Physiq alternates fat reduction with a toning modality as well, which provides muscle stimulation for added benefits such as sculpting lean muscle, lymphatic drainage, and cellulite reduction!

Stubborn fat can be frustrating and you might feel like you’ve already tried everything. However, Physiq body contouring just may be the answer you’re looking for!
